Which cookies does your website set before consent?
Free check, no account: we open your site in a real browser without accepting anything and show you which cookies and trackers get set anyway. Exactly what a data protection authority would see.
We scan the homepage and two more pages with a real Chrome browser. It takes 20–60 seconds.

How the check works
We open the site in a real Chrome
Homepage plus up to two internal pages, as a new visitor, without clicking anything on the cookie banner.
We record everything that gets set
HTTP cookies, localStorage, sessionStorage and every request to third-party services (Google, Meta, TikTok, Hotjar etc.).
We classify and score
Each cookie gets its category (necessary, preferences, statistics, marketing) from the CookieFix database of 450+ known cookies. The score drops for anything non-essential set before consent.
Frequently asked questions about cookie checks
No. Under the ePrivacy Directive and GDPR, statistics and marketing cookies may only be set after the visitor has given explicit consent. Only cookies strictly necessary for the site to work are exempt.
Many banners only inform, without blocking scripts. A compliant banner must stop Google Analytics, Meta Pixel and the other scripts until the visitor clicks “Accept”. CookieFix does that automatically, without changing your scripts.
EU authorities have fined companies for cookies set without consent, and the GDPR ceiling is €20 million or 4% of turnover. CNIL fines for Google and Amazon reached tens of millions of euros; smaller sites typically receive thousands to tens of thousands plus an order to fix the issue.
No. The free check covers the homepage and up to two internal pages, without interaction. The scan from your CookieFix account crawls every page, including cart and forms, and repeats automatically.
We keep the result for 30 days so you can return to it via the link. We do not store page content, only cookie names, domains and the third-party services detected.
